Intermediate Diver Improvement (IDI)

• It is the students responsibility to check with court system to make sure this is the appropriate class for their court order requirements.

• Course is divided into eighteen sections, with a quiz at the end of each.  At the end of the course there is a final exam that you must take. The computer will grade the test and notify you immediately. .

• Upon successful completion we will forward the certificate of completion to you.

• It is your responsibility to turn in your certificate!!!

• If you do not pass, you will be able to retake program immediately at no additional charge.

 Coaching the Mature Driver 

Under Florida law, if you have a Florida Driver's license and are 55 years of age or older, you are eligible to complete an approved motor vehicle accident prevention course that will allow you to receive a mandatory reduction on your insurance rate for 3 years.

This course is designed to help you:

• Gain a better understanding of certain crash prevention techniques

• Realize the social and personal costs due to traffic crashes

• Help to clarify Florida Traffic Laws and the consequences of the Laws

• Learn the physiological and psychological factors affecting the mature vehicle operator

• This and much more useful information to make you a safer driver

• As a Traffic Collision Avoidance Course - Involved in an accident-Received a letter from the State of Florida to complete TCAC.

FOR A TICKET - Drivers who do not want points on their license may elect to take BDI within 30 days of receiving a citation.  If an election is made, the driver then has 60 days (in most areas) from the date of the election to complete the class and provide proof to the traffic courts.  Failure to show proof within the time allotted may result in the cancellation of driving privileges and additional fines.

FOR A COURT ORDER - When BDI is ordered by the court, the defendant must complete the course at the discretion of the judge or magistrate.  It is the defendant's responsibility to show proof of the completed class to the courts.

FOR TCAC - Drivers cited as a result of being in an accident resulting in someone being taken for medical assistance of over $500.00 in damages will receive a letter from the Department of Highway, Safety & Motor Vehicles.  This letter informs the driver that his/her license will be suspended unless they complete a TRAFFIC COLLISION AVOIDANCE COURSE (4 hour Basic Driver Improvement).

FOR AN INSURANCE DISCOUNT- BDI may be taken Voluntarily for a 3 year discount on your driver's insurance.  Select the Insurance Discount
option at the beginning of the course.

Notice: Per DHSMV, CDL License holders are not eligible to take the driving school election for a ticket.
