Forklift
Did you know that forklift overturns are the leading cause of fatalities involving forklifts? They represent about 25% of all forklift related deaths.
This is why OSHA requires that all new forklift operators must be trained & certified, regardless of the amount of experience. All forklift operators must be evaluated for competency at least every three years. It is a violation of federal law for anyone to operate a forklift who is not properly trained and certified.
Operator retraining is required under any of the following circumstances:
- Two or three years have passed in which there are no operational or equipment changes or near-misses.
- If any unsafe operating procedures have been observed.
- An type of accident or near-miss occurs.
- When any new material handling equipment is introduced.
The new rules require that forklift training be specific to the equipment you operate and specific to the conditions under which the equipment is operated (site specific). This course meets 29CFR 1910.178 standards.
Bloodborne Pathogens
As someone who may come in contact with blood as part of your job, you are required by OSHA to be trained in bloodborne pathogens. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). OSHA fines for non-compliance can be as high as $70,000. Avoid fines and stay compliant with effective training that will help keep you safe and up to date!
OSHA-authorized Outreach Training
We offer OSHA-authorized safety training for OSHA Outreach Training Program. The program provides information about employer's responsibility, how to file a complaint, and worker's rights. The program also provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces.
Workers can attend 10-hour or 30-hour classes that are taught by OSHA-authorized trainers. The 10-hour class is recommended for entry level workers while, supervisors or those with some safety responsibility should attend the 30-hour class. OSHA hopes to provide workers with more knowledge about workplace hazards and their rights, and contribute to our nation's productivity. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of their job. Get your OSHA-authorized training today!
Note: This is a voluntary program and does not meet training requirements for any OSHA standards.
